Or it is using it as a proxy for other signals, such as trust, that are more difficult to quantify algorithmically. Whatever the reason, long content will always be more powerful for SEO than short content. So if you’re still writing short articles, you’re missing out on valuable link opportunities and SERP real estate – not to mention visitor engagement!

If you have old or outdated pages on your site, consider the important link between longer content and better rankings. However, increasing the length or repeating your content by stuffing it with keywords will not be effective. Alternatively, one of the most effective ways to increase the length of your website content is to provide users with more accurate, detailed and in-depth information.
