Tanveer Jamal lost the battle of life with cancer
Senior actor Tanveer Jamal Mozi, best known for his role in the Pakistani television (PTV) drama ‘Janglos’, has lost his battle with cancer.
Aqeel Iraqi, leader of the Pakistani Actors Association in Japan, confirmed in a post and video statement that Tanveer Jamal met Khaliq Haqiqi on the afternoon of July 13, Japanese time.

Tanveer Jamal was diagnosed with lung cancer and in mid-June last year, videos surfaced of him being seriously ill in a Japanese hospital, in which he could be seen in a very weak condition. Tanveer Jamal is having severe difficulty breathing, which is why he has a gas mask on his face and was seen sitting in a wheelchair.Tanveer Jamal was diagnosed with stage four cancer and used to seek treatment in Pakistan before moving to Japan. Tanveer Jamal also had Japanese citizenship and lived there every few months due to his family’s stay there. He used to go there later. Tanveer Jamal’s children and wife still live in Japan and his son is married to a Japanese-American girl while his daughter is married to a Pakistani-born Japanese boy.Tanveer Jamal had said in an interview in 2021 that a Japanese girl had converted to Islam to marry him and the two had established a relationship before marriage.Tanveer Jamal had said that he had an affair with another Japanese girl before marriage but he could not marry her.
Tanveer Jamal started his career before 1990 with director Kazim Pasha’s play ‘Janglos’ and he has already gained fame with the play.
